    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I know this is probably outside the scope of support for a Vaio 2012 UEFI&amp;nbsp; S Series laptop but any help and tips that can be provided on tools to use and procedures would be really helpful to me and perhaps the community.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My aim is to clone and replace my GPT format 640GB HD with a Crucial M4 256GB SSD with the goal of ensuring the "power on" *and* the "assist" buttons both work and boot the correct partition.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My attempts with AHTI 2012+ so far have worked for the "power on" button but it breaks the "assist" power on button which is unable to find the Sony Vaio Care recovery partition.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any ideas?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Word of warning to anyone trying this:&amp;nbsp; TRY TO MAKE A SET OF RECOVERY DISCS from your laptop's recovery partition in case the process should go wrong!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I found the UEFI boot mode in the BIOS and the Sony power on buttons on new 2012 laptops are very hard-wired and fragile wrt. hard disc changes.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Good luck!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
