Hi peops i am hoping someone can help with an issue I seem to be having with my blue ray drive.

It’s been happening for a long time (intermittently) and now I have got to a point where I am just damn frustrated

My blue ray drive will not always play a blue ray disc, it doesn’t happen on specific disks its totally random, It will play all other normal DVD's fine and cds without a problem but when I put in a blue ray it spins, makes a noise like it’s trying to read the disk (this happens 4 times) and then goes silent.

I don’t get any form of error message, When I go into the computer directory and click the blue ray drive it tells me to enter the disk (but its already in there) and ejects the disk, i put it back in and it does the same!

I have cleansed the heads, I have updated the drive software, I have completely cleaned my computer but it keeps doing it.

Now possibly in a few days time i will run the disk and it will work for a while and then dies again, I have read some of the other comments and cannot fins this specific issue, I have turned off the firewall in mcafee just in case that was the issue but its will the same

Sorry for the late response, No i dont get any error messages, the disk turns in the drive you hear a noise and it stops, it turns again the noise happens again and it stops it does it a third time and then stops completely.

If i put in a normal DVD or game disk it runs perfectly fine

No one has any ideas on this?
