Hi just a quick question i got a Vaio Pro, running on windows 8.1 pro. if i was to up date it to Windows 10 Pro will all the drivers work ? Like battery care Vaio care etc? Thanks

Hi TH3ORY,

Windows 7, 8 and 10 are pretty much build on the same foundation, so most programs which work on 7 will work on 8 as well as most programs which run on 8 will run on 10. At least that is my experience.

Yet I can't give you a definitive answer for "Battery Care VAIO", so I assume that it either will be carried over or you simply have to re-install it as soon as you performed the upgrade.

Was the software pre-installed or did it come on an utility-CD?

Hi i believe it’s pre-installed as i did a full system wipe down via Sony recovery as i got no cd, also when it booted up after the wipe down. Vaio software manger launched and installed all the updates thanks for your help I’ll try windows 10 upgrade.. Thanks

Make sure you follow Sony's 'step-by-step' upgrade instructions carefully and make Recovery Discs BEFORE installing Windows 10.

If you click on 'Compatibility information and limitations' you will see a number of features that do not work correctly with Windows 10. This list was compiled using Windows 10 build 10240 and possibly more recent builds nay be a little different.

You need to download the VAIO Update for Windows 10 Upgrade tool
