Lost control of Screen Brightness

Since the Latest Windows 8.1 update have lost all control of screen bbrightness and the computer is set at half brightness. Model is Laptop SVE1712Z1EB

My eyes are dim enough so need urgent help

Did you follow Sony guidance when upgrading to 8.1?

This would hopefully ensure that all drivers and utilities were retained.

Thank you for the reply, however I have been running 8.1 for about a year now, this happened with the latest Microsoft Update. The result has been a total loss of screeen brightness control, either using the the [Fn] F5/F6 or Personalise settings.

Good News. Microsoft have just done another huge update, and guess what, my brightness controls have returned.
