Broken wireless switch button on a vpcf11z1e

Hi,

I would like to know how the wireless on/off switch button should work, or rather how it should be connected to the wireless on/off mechanism on the mother board (on the front left edge of my Sony vaio vpcf11z1e).

I picked the laptop apart to clean the fan, when I later ran the computer the wireless network was not working. I picked it apart again to try to find the cause. There is no longer a distinct feel between the positions/settings of on/off. It just slides left and right. What I saw when I had opened the laptop was that there was nothing connecting the switch button (slider) and anything looking like a wireless on/off mechanism.

Does anyone know how this works, should work?

It would be great to find out and what i need to do to get it fixed.

If you have any pictures or construction/service manuals that illustrates the functionality that would be great.

If spare parts are needed where would I get them?

I did the very same thing just now. Cannot seem to fix it in any way. Please do let me know if you find a solution
