pcg fr415b help?

I have got pcg fr415b and i am having problems with the disk that came with it. It keeps coming up with an error msg and I am also having problems with symantec, should i have recieved an XP disk, and a Norton disk with this computer so i can uninstall and re-install if I am having problems.
Any advice would be appreciated.

No, you just get a recovery set of disks.
Whats the error message?

You can restore the factory state with the supplied recovery disks.
Make sure you save all your data to the D-drive, make sure you have all other software CDs that you have installed in the past, and run the recovery. This formats the C-drive and installs a clean Windows with all the drivers and some application like Norton.

After that step you can run the application recovery from the same recovery DVD and choose additional software to be installed, such as Click to DVD etc..
