topic Z1RSP CD-RW Problems in PCs & Accessories

I bought a Z1RSP last September and have been very happy with its performance until recent. Within the last few months The CD drive has begun making some strange noises, of varying pitch with some CD's. At first I put it down to a bad DVD, or a naff data <A href="<a href=" ="">cd" target="_blank">http://www.ntsearch.com/search.php?q=cd&v=55">cd, but it is now becoming more recurrent. The other day I was watching Gladiator when the picture began to freeze, then stopped, and a high piitch noise came from the drive, to only drop quickly to a low pitch noise that only stops when I open the drive. I do hope this is nothing serious but if anyone has any recommendations please help me.
Many thanks
Allen Tullett
contac@allentullett.co.uk

Hi Allen,

Sounds like the unit needs fixing by VAIO Link.
Arrange a pickup before the warranty runs out.
