I cant play a playlist without it cutting out after a while, at night I turn off screen and listen to music and have a similar problem with my U Tube playlist

Does your music always stop after the same amount of time has elapsed.:smileyconfused:

Is the Vaio still running when the audio stops.?

Have you checked if it's the power options settings causing the problem.?

it goes intermittently, not on the same song I had the same trouble with I tunes so I removed it. The songs play with short gaps in the song, Iam not good with power plans and I dont touch them I had the same problen on my last computer HP Pavillion after a few years and i wonder if I download a new copy of media player could it help or is the sound card going? I an not great on computers but the device says the the sound card is ok

I used to get this problem with iTunes, there is a setting in the Preferences\Advanced tab that allows you to increase the buffer size and that cured it for me.
