topic DVD Writer Driver needed BADLY!!! in PCs & Accessories https://community.sony.se/t5/pcs-accessories/dvd-writer-driver-needed-badly/m-p/118683#M117410 <HTML><HEAD></HEAD><BODY><P>Hi there!<BR /><BR />I have installed a Windows Xp Pro and I have downloaded and installed all the drivers I could find on the vaio website for PCG-K215M, but the All Drivers package doesn't contain the mainboard drivers, the HDD driver and the most important the DVD-RW drive's drivers. The problem is that without these drivers my HDD and DVD-RW drives are working in PIO mode. At least this is how the windows's device manager shows, and the laptop is working very slow. If I'm writing a DVD with 4x speed, instead of 15 minutes, (as the Nero 6.6.0.3 shows) the burning process takes up to 45 minutes time, and I can't do anything while the writes is burning, becaus the read buffer falls to 0%.
