Have a look in Device Manager under `Mice and other pointing devices¿. Chances are you will find some yellow warning symbols, indicating that the device is not installed correctly.&lt;BR /&gt;Right click on the device and select Uninstall, reboot and let Windows discover the device and install the drivers.&lt;BR /&gt;This usually sorts out this type of problem.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Edit: I should have engaged brain first! Without a mouse you can¿t right click. 'Alt A' will open the drop down `Action¿ menu; select uninstall from there.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;I installed Win 2K Pro on the Vaio and the touchpad never worked. It didn't matter because I am using an USB mouse...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;So today I tried to follow the steps in activating the touch pad and somehow I ended up killing both the mouse and touchpad leaving me with no pointer ablities.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Any suggestions?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
