Sony DCRSR70E - recording from the TV

I have the above and want to record from the TV.

As per the instructions I have the AV cable connected to the TV, have slid across to play mode, with the next step being press p-menu then rec control. The problem is I do not have an option to press record control. Does anyone know where I can find it?

Hi robwise, welcome to the Sony Forums

Have a look at this FAQ which covers all kinds of handycam.

It may be that you need to scroll through some sub-menus in the P-Menu, or it could be that you need to hit [Menu] again to bring up the Rec control function:

thanks for your help.

when i slide to play / record and press p-menu i get the following options -

volume

data code

lcd bright

set up

display

hdd format

hdd info

tv type

language

disp output

beep

calibation

p-menu set up

i have been through everything but I cannot find record control.

does anyone have any idea where this elusive option is?
