Picture Motion Browser ? home Memories - DVD Creation help please!!

I have an old sony camcoder circa 2007. A digital hard disk one. It came with Picture motion browser software. I made dvd's with this software for years. I then needed to upgrade to playmemories software as i got a windows 8 laptop.

The old software allowed me to put photos and videos onto a dvd. The new version doesn't let you put photos and videos onto the same dvd it seems, only video. Well it won't accept any photo files when trying to create a video DVD?

Am i doing something wrong or is it that the newer software is just more limited? What software can i use to create dvd's now which includes my holiday videos and pictures all on one DVD together??

All help appreciated...its driving me nuts!!
