HDR-PJ629 - Camcording beginner

Hello guys,

Nice to see that we have dedicated Forums for our products!

So, I just bought my very first Video camera, the Sony HDR-PJ620. And of course I have read all the manual that are available Online on Sony sites and also the ones which were in the package.

Now, I need to start my journey somewhere - so I hope I can find some experienced video recording enthusiasts here.
I need suggestion on how to start:

- Which video editing software do you use?
- Are there any more detailed Guides, where you can read advices on how to set modes for your camera for different Film Environments (night, nature, walking,..) ?
- Anything else good to know for a beginner?

Answers are much appreciated!

EDIT: Adding a sample video of my bad quality filming at Night with my camera - perhaps any suggestions on different setting to apply during night / low light recordings?

I forgot to mention, on my first few tests, I experience alot of noise in my picture - it is true, I am filming at night / low light, but is this the case in general for this camera ?
Will try to upload the vid so you can see.
