topic DCR-HC19E in Camcorders

Help ! After using this camcorder since 2006 without any problems at all (great camera) the screen has stopped working. All other camera functions appear to be OK. Viewfinder (when screen is closed or 180 degrees rotated)shows recording and playback but LCD screen remains blank at all times. Virtually impossible to use menus etc.

Anybody experienced this and if so is it curable or repairable. I've tried reset but no help at all. Many thanks, Ron K

Hi, sounds terminal to me, you could take your camcorder to a local repair specialist but due to the age of your current model I suspect it may be cheaper to purchase a replacement.
