Hi ruddiforthm,

There are some converters that allow you to use the A mount lenses on the E mount cameras. Some of the A mount lenses are stated in the lens compatibility section of the camera. I'd recommend checking this link: https://bit.ly/2Ip8PmG.

Cheers,

The_Black_Rose

Sony are keen to promote the new a6400, an E mount camera. They are offering some "bargain" lenses with it.

I would like one but reluctant to move to E mount.

Why don't Sony consider offering their top range A to E mount adapter at a bargain price with the a6400 so that us A mount users can use the lenses we already have then slowly start adding E mount lenses with the passing of time? Offer available to those that have registered A mount lenses with Sony. It would ease the passage to E mount, decrease the neglect the A mount users feel and shift some mirrorless camera bodies.

Hi Black Rose. Yup I know Sony make A Mount to E Mount converters. My proposal is for Sony to provide a converter at a very low price to A Mount owners instead of a kit lens. Then they can use their own lens collection on E Mount bodies, selling more bodies and giving A Mounters a starting point inet the E world.
