A7r3 weird blue light pulse when focusing.

I have just bought a A7r3 in brand new condition with a shutter count of 7..My question is,

Should I be seeing a slight blueish flash of light at the time of focus? I have an A7, although it does go slightly brighter, the light doesn't change colour. It is very noticeable in darker environments .

Is this normal?

Hi Hannah,

Both in the view finder and screen. You only see it when its a dark scene, and the image is under exposed a little.

I'm actually returning the camera anyway. But thank you for trying to help.

Hey @AndyJazz, if you still have the camera, try resetting the settings by following this and check again.

Hi AndyJazz, I tried checking the link but there's nothing on it. Anyway, you can get the same model but a different set if you want, it's a very decent camera.

@AndyJazz, I mean ask for an like-for like exchange from your retailer. Don't switch it with another model.
