Getting multi-channel audio from PS4 on DN1080

I still try to get 5.1 sound from my PS4 PRO on my DN1080

Is well configured but game sounds go only on front speakers.

PS4 is configured with PCM over HDMI

HDMI is confired at full 4K HDR RGB

The PS4 main menu does hear on all speakers

Games do play only on front ones, really annoying.

Tried with like 10 games, also switched to all available modes on 2CH switcher on receiver remote, it has no effect on games.

Any hints?

Hi @ssbarnea,

I have looked into this for you - if the output is set to PCM, then the PS4 outputs only Stereo. You need to set the PS4 to Dolby Digital (or similar) and this should work.

I don't think that is correct, I have a PS4 hooked up to a DN1080 and mine is set to PCM. When the amp detects the console it displays PCM 7.1 (blah blah) across the amps display.

I get full surround sound when playing games and my console is set to PCM. Have you tried a different HDMI cable?

@GreenAndroid2000 is right, it doesn't matter, PS4 is still supposed to send out PCM 7.1.. Did you check in the game option what's the audio setting?
