Difference between MDR-XB950B1 and MDR-XB950BT?

Hey,

I'm looking to buy a new pair of headphones and a mic for gaming/music purposes, and I've been recommended the MDR-XB950BT's from a couple of people. I was looking at them and I can't seem to see a difference that would justify a £30 difference in price between the MDR-XB950B1 and MDR-XB950BT? Does anybody know of the significant difference between these 2?

And as an added bonus, if you've ever played any games with either/or, what were they like?

Hi Calum, welcome to the Sony Community

The 'BT' headphones are the outgoing model, so if you're looking for the lastest model you'd probably want the 'B1' or 'N1' version.

Prices vary widely depending on where you shop. The Sony site has them at the same price and there's a comparison feature there, if you want to check them out alongside other models.

There's a good review on the feature updates offered by the new models here.

If you're looking to save some money, you'll likely find the outgoing model at a lower price right now.
