I purchased a Sony NWZ A-867 a few years ago when it was first released but sadly it stopped working last autumn . I decided to purchase a new one (NWZ- A15) because the touch screen on the A-867 was annoying me but I have since been trying to get the music off the dead one (I had a lot of music on there).

I went to a few repair shops but they say it cannot be fixed without a new board. I have checked the sony spare parts website and they say this will cost £353 (excl VAT)! This is the second walkman where this issue has happened. The first time I accepted the music was lost because I only had circa 12gb of music on it but in the A-867 there must be at least 50gb.

Does anyone have any tips as to how I can recover the music in a more cost effective way or has anyone suffered a similar issue?

i just think there must be a way to get the music from the hard drive?

Any help would be greatly appreciated
