SBH60 Bluetooth headphones

I got some sony SBH60 Bluetooth headphones with my sony Xperia Z3 compact. They connect (via bluetooth) fine, but whether the headset's buttons respond seems hit-and-miss. Sometimes they work fine, and other times I'll have audio but the buttons do not work unless I disconnect and reconnect a few times. Any help? thx.

Well, update, it seems to work fine this last couple of weeks. So long as I turn off the headphones before bluetooth on the phone when finished each time it seems to disconnect properly and reconnect properly next time.
