I want to use headphones and speakers from my PC media centre at the same time but with separate volume control for each.

So my question is exactly where does the volume up/down control on these headphones have effect? Do they control the volume at the source player (this is what currently happens with another pair of bluetooth connected phones I currently have - not Sony) or in the actual headphone itself so that the sound can be controlled specifically for each connected output?

Hi Johwilli,

This unit controls the source player volume, i have checked this, also you can try them on your smartphone they will change the volume of the music player.

Not the answer I wanted - but thanks very much for checking it out and letting me know. Guess I'll have to keep looking elsewhere for a solution.
