Sony Cashback and Registering Camera

Hi,

My dad bought me a Sony a7sII so the receipt is in his name and he wants to claim the cashback, however I want to register the camera to my Sony account which would obviously be in a different name. Can I put the cashback claim through my Sony account while registering the camera to my account but put his bank details in and the photo of his receipt for the cashback?? I know you can register separately to the cashback form but I can see on the cashback form that you can tick a box to register the camera at the same time and I'm unsure if it will let me register it if he creates a different Sony account and makes a claim with the same camera serial number. Just not sure how it works so thought I'd ask before I fill out the form! Sorry that was a bit long winded...
