Cashback claim page not secure

I have tried to claim cash back but but the sony site is not secure as I get gray padlock with a yellow warning triangle displayed in the address bar.

An internet search says "A gray padlock with a yellow warning triangle indicates that the connection between Firefox and the website is only partially encrypted and doesn't prevent eavesdropping. This also appears on websites with self-signed certificates or certificates that are not issued by a trusted authority"

As I have to enter my bank details how do I claim cashback using an unsafe web page. Is there anyway of notifying Sony. I want my cashback but at the expense of my bank details being available to all. Is this a way of Sony reducing the number of claims

Hi @If_only and welcome to the Community

It is not a deliberate attempt to stop people getting their cashback

Many members have successfully claimed cashback with no security problems.

If you're not happy with the page on Firefox, have you tried using the Chrome browser to see if the padlock changes to green?

Just install Chrome and site is still not safe. The same result in Internet explorer. Isn't it time that sony update their web site and made it secure.

Still not sure if it is not a deliberate attempt to stop people getting their cashback by putting them off.

Is there anyway to contact Sony about this.

I will raise your concerns for you regarding the grey padlock.

Please be assured this is not a covert secret attempt

to put people off from claiming cashback when so many have successfully

done so.

The page for the link has a grey padlock with a yellow warning triangle as does the next page which asks for my bank details. Clicking on the triangle tells me that the connection is not secure and information I share with the site could be viewed by others.

As I need to enter my bank detials I have concerns.

I also get the grey padlock on the cashback form page.

The website team have been in contact and are investigating the issue.

They understand your concerns but have assured me there should be no problems

with you completing the cashback form.
