Cashback serial number problem

Hello all.
I am trying to claim the cashback on a Sony VG-C77AM grip that I bought from one of the recognised retailers. However I am running into a problem that the form says the serial number I need to enter should be 6 digits but there are seven on my grip (Technically 6 digits and one letter). Can anyone advise on what I am supposed to do?
