&lt;P&gt;by letting (ro)bots from a hacker(/groups) (ro)bot network get no further than the login, you can take load off the servers, ensuring the community&amp;nbsp;runs as smooth as it should.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Sony websites (and presumably other companies websites) are currently suffering heavy cyber attacks, which is the sole reason for the annoying log-in process.&lt;/P&gt;
