My xperia tablet screen smashed after leaving on radiator!

Please somebody explain to me how this has happened??

I put my tablet on charge last night where i allways do, on top my radiator next to my bed and

woke this morning to a smashed screen?, i am the only person in my house and it looks like it has been hit with a hammer, also large scratch-like marks on screen.

The tablet was in a full case and when i picked it up it was red hot! i have called Sony and they have told me that excessive overheating can cause this to happen(more common in phones). On top of that my warranty ran out September so i cant even send it to get fixed free of charge :@

The reason for this post is to see how many people this has happened to in the past??

It is clear that the phone overheated on the radiator - even if it was in warranty, Sony would have probably not fixed this free of charge - as technically it was your fault in putting it on a radiator over night. So, you must put this down to one of lifes little lessons.
