Defragmentation and cleaning

Dear all,

My computer has been slow for some months. Through VAIOCARE, I found the following problems in the Vaiocare history.

1. Disk defragmenter: 3054 problem(s) found,

2. Disk cleaner: 1585 problem(s) found

3. Registry defragmenter: 2 problem(s) found

Therefore I kindly request your kind help.

Hi Selemta,

I don't tend to use VaioCare but I believe there is an Fix all option that you can select to fix listed errors..:smileyconfused:

You haven't mentioned what Vaio or OS you are using however you can manually check the status of your Vaio HDD defragmentation & when by doing the following..

Open Disk Defragmenter by clicking the Start button , clicking All Programs, clicking Accessories, clicking System Tools, and then clicking Disk Defragmenter.‌ If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

There are other free programs available like CCleaner that you download & use to clean up your vaio's HDD..

Hello Thalamus,

Thank you so much for the information. The operating system is windows 10, as I am new I could access the system tools to defragment. As you suggested I installed Ccleaner however this also does not solve.

Therefore would you please again write me where I could find the system tools and option for defragmentation.

The problem could be due to upgrading to windows 10 but unfortunately I have no hands on experince with windows 10 but a quick search found this link - How to Defrag a Windows 10 Computer
