I have a Sony HDd and Freeview recorder RDR DC100. Now I need to connect this to my Sony TV. As I no longer need the Freeview can I still use the DVD via HDMI if I buy a lead? I am an old technophobe so don't fully understand these things. Any help appreciated as I was told the DVD was redundant so I'm just checking,

Thanks for your offer of help. I have now spoken yo a younger neighbour who has helped me and I am now connected so can use my DVD player.
