SUBWOOFER SWF-BR100 compatibility with KD49XF8577SU? Why does it not sync ?

Hello all, I wish to sync up my old SWF-BR100 subwoofer to a 2 year old KD49XF8577 TV, it has the correct audio out and USB connections for the bluetooth dongle but when trying to secure "sync-up" between the tv and sub it does not! Having gone through the TV settings choosing subwoofer etc etc, it does infact state the model number of the this subwoofer!?!?

Any ideas folks?

That would be great, just for added information i reverted back connecting to my other TV KDL-55W955B and it reconnects ok! both Bravia's so i would expect the SWF work with XF8577?

Hi AlbieJohn,

I don't think you're doing anything wrong here. The subwoofer is not compatible with your XF8577.

Many thanks for clarifying this, much appreciated!

Would have good for Sony to carry on supporting this sub for new TV models as consumers will probably upgrade the TV as opposed to the audio!
