No notifications whatsoever

Unless I constantly restart the phone, I don't get any updates from apps, eg email, FB, Twitter, Instagram, etc

Hi, when this next happens, could you turn off wifi, and turn it back on.

Then please report back here with what happens.

You need to make sure that Stamina Mode is not turned on to the ALWAYS setting. It should be set to start when the battery reaches 15%. Check to make sure you are not restricting any background data for the apps in question. Check to make sure you are not blocking all notifications. Sometimes more than one setting needs to be adjusted for things to work as needed. Hope this helps.

it might be hard for them to determine when they're not receiving notifications, because they're not receiving them...

True, but say, after a few hours if they get someone to send them an email, or if twitter/ social feeds have stopped. They can then do what I advised and report back.

Will give it a go, but WiFi keeps stopping anyway so might be tough for me to know if I've switched it off or it's just stopped working.

This is why I wanted you to reset wifi connection.

Do you sometimes get (connected,no Internet) next to your connection?

Yes, have seen the conected but no internet sign a few times.

I tried to reset the wifi connection but it doesn't seem to ahve much effect, especially when it tells me there are no networks available when I know for sure there are.

The only thing that seems to fix it is a restart of the phone.
