Sony Xperia Z5 Compact

Hi everyone,

I just received a few SMS messages, but they randomly opened in the Messaging app, which I have barely ever used, and not Textra (my default sms app). Messaging then asked me whether I want to make it the default app for SMS. (Options were; Yes or Maybe Later)

So, now my SMS conversations are split between two different apps and I cannot move the messages.

(Ever tried to read a conversation split up between more than one app?! It's a nightmare, especially just before Chistmas!)

What would cause this to happen? I have since disabled Messaging, but my conversations are still split up...

It's bad enough that these phones have all this bloatware, but when apps activate themselves and mess up the organisation of my content, just to try and get you to use them, it's a major turn-off. This is probably my first and last Sony phone.
