Restore from android 7.0 backup to android 6.0 by XC for Sony Xperia XZ

Dear Support,

I have the problem of restore my data from XC!

please, help me!!!!

My Sony XZ was been Android 7 and i did the backup data.

After that i use the factory data reset my phone. My phone reset done. And i restore my data by XC but it's said "The backup was created on a newer Android version than is currently installed on your device. To restore the backup to this device, please run software update and then try again."

Then i check the version of my phone, it was android 6.0.

i've tried to update, check system upgrade but it cann't up to android 7.

Now, i need to restore my old data, i've tried many ways but none of them work.

Please, tell me how to restore my old data !!!!! It's very important.

well this is odd.

is there any other xperia device that have used the Xperia companion recently?

did you in anyway modified your device (flashing a custom rom, rooting etc.)

There are only my Sony XZ connected to PC.

I did not modified it!

i'll try get more information about this.,

let me clarify some things first,

1.) when you did the backup (using xperia companion) your XZ was on android 7.0?

2.) before you tried to restore your back up, what else have you done with your XZ ?

3.) are you sure you have not flashed even an official software with your XZ? Backup are not backwards compatible since the newer backup might have data the isn't compatible witht the previous android version

Dear Nolramlb

After did the backup.

I was used "Factory data reset".

and after that i cann't restore my data!

My phone was on Android 7.0, and after "Factory data reset" the android version was 6.0

i dont know why??
