topic Xperia E5 : 5ghz WiFi missing channels in E Series

So , i obviously have the Xperia E5 , i use the 5Ghz Wifi for my internet etc the problem that i have is , my hobby is radio control quadcopters ( drones) I have a drone that transmits its video on 5Ghz the Xperia however cannot find the drones video/AP

In my house there is also an Iphone 6, Xiaomi note 2, Xiaomi note 4 and a Samsung S6 all of these phones will pick up the drones camera but the Xperia will not.

The drone transmits on channels 149 and 153 which is allowed under UK legislation so everything is perfectly legal.

The Xperia will connect to my 5ghz network fine but does not connect to the drone.

The issue is 100% a phone issue , how can i proceed ? i have contacted Sony online support but they were pretty clueless as to why this was happening due to everything being within UK specification. Either the E5 software is blocking me from seeing the drones AP ot the E5 specification is wrong ( ie it only sees a small band of Sony selected channels)

You help would be greatly appreciated as more and more devices use the 5ghz band so this needs solving.
