No sound on Apps on Sony XR65A95KU QD-OLED Bravia XR

When using Apps on the Sony be it Netflix, Apple TV+, BBC iPlayer, YouTube and Plex I’m not getting any sound at all. The TV is connected to a Marantz SR8015 and the Plex Server is on a Mac Mini upstairs. I’ve gone through the settings numerous times and am now at a loss on what to do. The TV is connected to the Amp via eARC and the speakers are all from Kef. I’ve changed settings on Plex on the Mac and the Plex app on the TV and all I get is the sound of silence. Anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to fix this as it’s bugging the heck out of me.

Hi @vjpatel, try to connect the speaker directly to the TV HDMI eARC port. Then, adjust the settings here and test again: https://helpguide.sony.net/tv/jaep1/v1/en/04-04_02.html Also, was it working before or it never worked?

The TV is connected to the Amp/Receiver via eARC however when the Amp is on there’s no sound from Apps via Android TV (YouTube, Apple TV+, BBC iPlayer, Plex etc). Turn off the Amp and it works there’s sound. There has to be a setting on the Marantz amp to have sound coming out from the speakers rather than the TV. I just can’t figure out what the setting is.

Hi @vjpatel, I'm not familiar with the Marantz, but from the TV you can adjust the settings in this link to output the sound from the connected speaker: https://helpguide.sony.net/tv/jaep1/v1/en/08-05_03.html and if the issue remains, try to contact Marantz to help you adjust the settings of the speaker.
