SkyQ remote not switching new Sony Bravia 8 off

Hi there. Just bought a lovely new Bravia 8 65 inch. The SkyQ remote says its paired but does not switch the TV off. Oddly it does switch it on. Sky very unhelpful and told me to buy a universal remote! Any ideas?

Hi @NDS20. I take it you are holding down the Sky Q remote power button for 2-3 seconds. On the latest Sky Q remotes, the led flashes once when the TV power off command has been sent.
