TV will turn off after a few minutes with the 6 red LED flashes, EXCEPT when conencted to HDMI.

Hi all.

The TV will turn off after being on for a few minutes (sometimes 10, sometimes an hour) and give me the 6 red LED flash error. The strange thing is it doesn't do this if I am watching a HDMI input, it will work fine all day.

I have tried resetting the TV, with out anything connected etc.

I had the 6 red LED a few months ago and replaced the backlight, which seemed to fix my problems, but they have returned as stated above. Both times the amount of time before the TV turns off gradually got shorter and shorter....

Any thoughts....

@ianjamesdrew Try to factory reset the TV: https://helpguide.sony.net/tv/gaep2/v1/en/08-01_03.html?hl=factory. If it still blinks red, I believe that you shall contact Sony again cause that might be an indication about a issue in the hardware.
