Reminder setting on KD50X75WLPU

Just bought a kd50x75wlpu and I'm having an issue with reminder settings. If I go into the youview programme guide, select a programme, and press the centre button on the remote it sets a bell icon next to the programme. If the TV is on when the timer event comes up it puts up a message asking of you want to switch to that programme, however if the TV is in standby nothing happens. I'd expect it to turn on the TV and switch to the programme the reminder has been set for?

@PeeJay The TV can only turn on if you set an on timer for the same timing of the reminder: https://helpguide.sony.net/tv/kaep1/v1/en/07_14.html

After doing some digging it appears it's impossible if you use the youview guide (which seems stupid), however if you also have an HDD setup for recording you can do it as follows:

Select inputs on the remote control
Select the 'recording device'
Select 'Timer list/timer settings'
Select 'Set timer'
Select 'Set timer from guide'

Navigate to the programme you want and press the enter key on the remote

Select 'Reminder' followed by 'Set timer'

The TV will then turn on at the correct time and change to the appropriate channel
