Sony Bravis 7 - 5 year warranty?

I wanted to buy a Sony Bravia 7 TV direct from Sony online, however I see no mention of the 5 year warranty promotion seen on other retailers. Is this because I can't get this if I buy direct?

Why buy direct from Sony I don't think there is any advantage to that.

John Lewis give you a 5 year guarantee.

Richer Sounds a 6 year guarantee.

They probably offer a better after sales service than Sony and may in fact be cheaper.

Hi @barrowben It looks like the Sony shop only offers a 1 year warranty on Bravia 7. It offers 5 years on the Bravia 9. I would never buy a Sony TV without a 5 year warranty, so shop around and buy from a Retailer offering that incentive to buy.

I can get 15% off at Sony direct currently, which made the price very
attractive.

I will have a rethink if no 5 year warranty however.

You have to rethink if that 15% is worth more than 5 years of support.
