Sony Bravia firmware update

Hello - I have a Sony Bravia KDL - 55W829B

Since the installation of a firmware update on 18th October the tv works ie there is picture and sound but the screen turns black as soon as the tv is switched on. If left for 5 minutes switched off and on again, the screen/picture is normal. Has anyone else had issues with this most recent update ? Sony have suggested factory reset which I have done but doesn't not solve the issue. It seems too much of a coincidence that the tv was working fine until the update.

Yes I have done a factory reset however this did not work. The screen still turns black when tv is switched on … if left on for 5 minutes then switched off and on, the tv picture is normal and remains so until it is switched off then on again !!

@Issymac60 You can try to detach any cable from the TV to make sure that it's not the reason and also unplug the TV power cable to leave the TV rest for 2 mins.
