topic 3 second mute in Android TV

Bravia KD-55XG8196, software up to date.

When Display & Sound info bar at the top of the screen is displayed (ie when you change input), there's a three second silence before the sound kicks in. This is particularly annoying when listening to songs on Spotify via the TV as it happens at the start of every song.

It's happened since I got the TV a few years ago but I assumed it was due to the Sonos Beam we use, however I've only noticed this happens when that's unplugged too.

I can't see any settings that would help this and I can't find anything about it online. Doing a full reset of the TV hasn't changed anything.

Is this by design? Any idea how to stop the silence?

Hey @Waghiafa

Can you please mention the software version of your TV?

Also, did you try testing it without any external devices connected at all? Even the aerial?
