Only RTE channels

I tried to tune in all the free to air digital TV channels but all that I can get are RTE southern Ireland channels nothing else. So can anyone offer any help so I can get all the free to air channels?

Hi there,

The issue may be related to the positioning of your aerial. Could you please try re-positioning it, and then try tuning in again? Please let us know if this helps.

Firstly, are you in Southern Ireland? If so that is the reason!

If you are in Northern Ireland is your country setting on 'Ireland' or 'UK'?

Otherwise it's probably your aerial. Either it's pointing at a southern ireland transmitter, or you have two aerials and the NI one is broken, or you are receiving the 'RTE Minimux' signal (from an NI transmitter) but not the main NI transmitter signals for some reason.

Hi thanks for your reply, no i live in Northern Ireland, all the other non Sony Tvs in house are connected to the same aerials and they work fine.

Hi i have the sony kd49xd8305bu TV as for aerials i have two one for BBC etc and the other for RTE both digital.
